About Nikki

Nikki is a children's writer as well as a licensed Professional Engineer.  After receiving a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida, she worked as a professional engineer for 15 years.  Her primary area of design was water and wastewater infrastructure.   

She and her husband (a fellow Gator engineer) live in the Florida Panhandle with their four sons. When she's not working on writing projects, Nikki is actively involved in her children's school and church activities.  With four boys, chances are she may be found at the ballfield most evenings.
